Since risk plays such an important role in our very challenging Mission, we had to identify the industries where risk is a decisive factor for long-term success, such as the financial sector. This is why Sustensis has developed several services addressing specific sustainable growth issues in that industry.

To achieve our objectives in the most effective way, we work in close alliance with larger companies or specialist consultancies. Some of our consultants specializing in Risk were working with the Basel Committee. Other consultants have delivered very large business transformation programmes in the Financial Sector such as:

• A complete business restructuring of one of the largest Asset Management Companies in the world, that included 18 projects, one of which was Operational Risk Management.

• A conversion of a divested part of FinInvest Bank in Milan into a retail bank

• A full new business strategy (together withMcKinseys) for a large investment Bank

• A number of Operational Risk Management projects for various banks and financial institutions in the City.

Our aim is to work in small, manageable assignments, which would deliver clearly identifiable benefits to our clients in a very short time. For example, in the Operational Risk Management area we would deliver in a matter of weeks a coherent “Risk Management Pack”. This identifies for the FSA or other regulators the risks, the risk controls to put in place, and the risk management strategy.
